Community Foundation's 2006 Town of Webb Fund Grants to TOWHA & Hemmer Cottage
Presented August 13th in an awards ceremony at the Thendara Golf Course.

The Town of Webb Fund was created to benefit not-for-profits organizations in our north country. Seven awards were presented to local organizations including the Town of Webb Historical Association for the Goodsell Building and the Historic Preservation Committee for the Hemmer Cottage. Founders of the fund, Linda and Sarah Cohen, (photo above) owners of the landmark Old Forge Hardware Store, co-hosted the Foundation's award ceremony.

Peggy O'Shea, President and CEO of the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties Inc., with Linda Cohen.

Guests attending the award ceremony included Marie Adams (foreground) - Historic Preservation Committee Chairperson, and grant writer for the Town of Webb Historic Association. Marie also has served gallantly as the clerk-of-the-works for the Hemmer Cottage Siding Project. A special thank you to Marie and preservation committee members Linda & Sarah Cohen.

On behalf of everyone at the Historical Association, thank you Peggy and all donors to the Community Foundation for your continued support of great projects that benefit the north country region of Herkimer County!

Contributions to the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties, Inc. are always welcomed.
