Law Enforcement in the Rural North Country
Exhibit during Winter & Summer of 2005

Front Room Exhibit on Rural Law Enforcement

Director Gail Murray & Museum Committee Volunteer Cheryl Gerrish adding articles to the exhibit that explores the history of law enforcement in rural upstate New York. Included in the locally donated artifacts are the constable badges, uniforms, log books and the jail cell from the original Town of Webb Jail. Thanks to exhibit coordinator Ed Girtler, many items are on display related to the history of the State Police, BCI, Herkimer Co. Sheriff's Dept. and DEC. The exhibit will be open throughout the summer of 2005 and is open FREE to the public.
